I know it's just been Christmas, but I love the call of Spring already! Spring is a new start, a season that is oh so fresh and clean! So this is a quick post before I return to posting full time. I will definitely be back full time from January!
Ah, the humble polka dot, you see it on dresses to bedlinen, from bedlinen to bags and everything else in between, so why not incorporate your favourite pattern on to your wedding cake?! I love every single one of these beautiful cakes, especially number three which is homemade (mega brownie points for that!). The Charm City Cake (number four) looks fun AND sophisticated.
Once you've announced you're married, the first question after "when is the wedding?" is.. "what is your theme?"...shudder. I only plan on getting married once, so it's a pretty big deal for me, and the thought of the biggest day of my life having to stick to one regimented idea sends me in to despair! What if I see something I LOVE but it won't match everything else?! So me and Ollie have decided there will be no theme, we won't be having a "vintage" wedding or a "retro" wedding or any other fad. One thing we have settled on is a palette which is combined of our favourite colours, and that flowers will play a huge part in our wedding. Navy (Ollie's favourite), Pink/Coral/Watermelon (My favourite), Green (A colour we both love) and Cream (a neutraliser). We have bought a few things now, but now our we have some colours to think of we can get the process moving along... 22 months to go..!
Are you having a theme? Or does the thought of a Star Wars/Disney/Vintage/etc wedding send chills down your spine?
My dad is super hard to buy for, for Christmas I got him.... a torch, he did really want it to his credit but as you can see, it's not as easy to buy for dads as it is mums so when I saw this seed packet organiser I was so happy! My dad loves his garden, he loves nothing more than growing his own fruit and vegetables to so this is so perfect and I will definitely be buying this for him! The best thing is, it's also on sale for just £17.
I wrote this post because dads are notoriously hard to buy for, I have received no form of compensation and Alltidiedup don't even know I've written this!
I have gone for a stunning garden rose bouquet today. Roses can be grown very easily in your garden (can you see a theme forming here?!) Although I have to say with the weather we have been having here in Norfolk, flowers may not bloom as you wish... I've also been reading some articles on growing your own flowers to create your own confetti, I am so doing that! Can you tell I'm a bit obsessed about a) flowers and b) growing flowers? I hope you enjoy my bouquet of the day posts!
